I was hired on the Department 17 May 1993. From the Academy I was assigned to the 025th District, where I spent approximately nine years working a beat car on the third watch until 2002 when I went to second watch, assigned to administrative duties. I also served as the union watch rep and subsequently unit rep for several years until being elected to the position of Trustee in 2002. I have served in a Trustee capacity from 2002 until present. I am currently the chairman of the Health & Insurance Committee and a member of several other committees including Grievance, Audit, and Uniform & Equipment. I have also served as a member of the Contract Negotiating Committee in past and present negotiations. I was recently promoted, off the list, to the rank of Detective on 3 December 2007.
