Bill Dougherty has been a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and the Chicago Police Department since 1987(Class 87-4C). He worked in the 008th and 009th districts as a patrolman and tactical officer.

Bill was elected to the office of 1st Vice-president in March 2002 and became a field representative for the Lodge.

Bill co-chairs the Grievance committee and also serves on the Disability Legal Defense, Political Action, Picnic, Work Schedule, and Golf committees for Lodge 7.

Prior to being elected as 1st Vice-President Bill served on the board as a Trustee and Watch Representative.

Bill is also on the Grievance committee for the Illinois State Lodge.
